Rainey is responsible for cultivating and managing the company’s investor relationships, ensuring clear and effective communication about financial performance, investment strategies, and portfolio developments. He leads the preparation of detailed investor reports, presentations, and other materials that highlight property performance, market trends, and projected outcomes. Rainey coordinates all investor interactions, including quarterly updates, annual meetings, and other touchpoints, addressing inquiries and ensuring communications are consistent with the firm’s strategic goals and regulatory standards. In addition to playing a pivotal role in capital raising efforts alongside the CEO, he oversees the administration and operations of the company’s fund offerings and contributes to the strategic investment decisions for the company’s various funds to drive growth and deliver value.
Rainey has 30 years in the institutional financial sector focused on investor relations and deal distribution in public and private markets, including private equity, co-investments, real assets, venture, pre-IPO deals, hedge funds, and global equities. He was a Senior Managing Director at Morgan Creek Capital in Chapel Hill and held the same position at Signet Management. Rainey also spent 15 years at Merrill Lynch & Co. as a Managing Director in the Global Markets Institutional Group, overseeing the Latin American emerging market sales unit. This team participated in equity financing deals totaling more than $20 billion and consistently held a top ranking in the marketplace.
